a snowy saturday. there are storm warnings for northern Ontario, but I hope here - at south - the thing will be calmer. it's snowing right now, but in a gentle way. don't worries meanwhile.

my left leg is a lot better, the pain has receded, replaced by a bothersome tension on the front muscle.hopes, also, that this issue will go sooner than later for me go back to my daily normal tasks. sometimes, routine seems a blessing.finally, I leave you with this old drawing from 2008. have, everybody, a wonderful weekend!

hi there! thursday already. I've continued with problems in my left leg. doctors cannot decide if it's a muscle tear, some sciatic issue or a ligaments tear. have to go today to an ultrasound. I hope we all will be wiser after the results.

the pain comes and goes, but the real problem is I cannot be sat, nor in bed, nor standing, which is a real situation for us humans... hanging from a branch and resting would be great. halo sloths!

enough about health issues. to something more fun: children, nature, animals. nothing better!

sunday. incredibly, we are walking towards the end of January.
yes, maybe you didn't pay attention, but we are already in the the second decade of the XXIst century.
(the first one passed among the attack to New York, two wars, the Wall Street meltdown and the internet revolution.)
and this 2012 goes ahead at full speed without rest. so, stop. a small look to the past: drawing from 2000 or 2001, asian girl.

moment, of course, for a second coffee. badly, my left leg pain remains the same. some resting during the week and prescription pills didn't work so far. patience.
again today I post an old drawing, those I found on a CD from 2000-2001. hope you'll like it. a sleeping feline after dinner.

it's already thursday in this, a rush week. temperatures are colder in the region, but no snow nor ice until now. which for me, with this problem in my left leg, it's great: driveway and sideway are clean and dry and I don't need to go shove them out.
today, an old drawing again. one we can call it 'sorry'. also this one is from 2000-2001.

hi!, here I am after physicians, X rays, and a lot of pills... suffering from a very painful muscle tear. the problem is that have a long to-do list, plenty of stuff right now and more coming up, so the 'resting' treatment is not matching the situation.
we'll see, hope at least, pills will help with the pain.
so, here goes another old drawing from the 2000 or 2001. in a sudden semi-'picassian' style I'd say. memories from cigarettes, coffee and croissants. hope you'll like it.

could be interesting to make a new version of it...

this is a quick drawing I call - originality first! - "woman on blue". ok, that's one thing, now: to post only the drawing feels dull, so, I added the lyrics of that wonderful tune about Superman and his problematic sex life.
hope you'll like them both.

yesterday was 11.11.11. - meanwhile a new 'end of the world' was announced by some people, for others was a date of celebration and good luck. for the biggest bunch of people in the planet was only a curiosity. one more date without any special significance.
but it had some relevance - was the first day with temperatures below zero in the region, and on the windshields settled a fine layer of ice during the night.

want to use this old pre-columbian god for the topic Scary in Illustration Friday this week. and in its honor here goes some extraordinary poetry:

those who grew up in Valparaiso, Chile, know "la chancha" a very unusual play for children. of course it is very dangerous also. there is: a cultural expression from the times when children played outside home, in the street. when fun came from their own inventiveness and imagination.

the guy in the drawing is an adult - to make it funnier, because under the weight of a grown up earthling 'la chancha' became like a russian roulette.
