Hispano-American Alphabet, by Coré

the book I pasted into this illustration is the actual alphabet (silabario, in spanish) where I learned the letters and made, also, my first reading attempts. I want to share the wonderful illustration on the cover, signed by the chilean artist, Coré (below this text).
I remember Coré illustrated, as well,  The Island of Treasure - the 1st book I read complete - but, that copy, with its amazing drawings in it, is sadly lost.

Wonderful how you incorporated the book into your illustration. It has a real sweetness to it.

wow! the silabario illustration is great!

Many people in Chile learned the abc and to read with that book.
